Congress trims money for science agency

The New York Times > Washington > Congress Trims Money for Science Agency - and the news many of us have been waiting for... Federal NSF funding has been cut. It's a big deal, but is it really as big as we are saying it is? The overall NSF budget is over 5 billion dollars. It was cut by approximately 300 million... quite a bit, but the total is still quite large. I wonder which areas that NSF commonly funds will get cut. Coming from a school with a LOT of NSF funding this is really an interesting question. Hmmm but NIH got more funding... maybe its time to focus on health?
